Oven Repair in Federal Way — Book a Visit Today
Baking goes wrong before you know the oven's at fault. Cookies burn on one side. A roast takes an extra hour. The preheat beep sounds but the cavity feels lukewarm. Behind that you'll often find a drifting temperature sensor, a cracked bake element, or an igniter that glows without lighting. Self-clean latches stick, too, and lock the door at the worst moment. We repair ovens in Federal Way and nearby Auburn and Des Moines, independently, across all major brands. Call us with your model number handy, or start the quote form.

After the visit, in their words
“Our oven was running forty degrees cold for months. One sensor later, cookies come out right again.”
Renee W.Ontario, CA“No upsell talk at all. He fixed the drain pump and pointed out a hose I should watch, that was it.”
Jeff D.Lancaster, CA“The scheduler actually listened to the symptoms and sent the guy with the right parts.”
Priya N.Salinas, CAOven Repair in Federal Way — quick answers
Why does my oven bake unevenly on one side?
Usually a weakening element, a fan that stopped circulating in convection models, or a door that no longer seals square. Racks and pan placement matter too. We test temperature at several points in the cavity before deciding what is actually off.
Is an oven that runs 50 degrees cool worth fixing?
Often yes. A drifting temperature sensor is a small part and a straightforward swap on most ranges. Some ovens also allow a calibration offset. We check the sensor reading against actual cavity temperature and go from there.
My oven smells like gas. What should I do?
Leave the house, take everyone with you, and call your gas utility from outside. Do not flip switches or light anything. Once the utility clears the home, call us and we will look at the igniter, valve, and burner.
Can self-clean damage an oven?
It can. The extreme heat sometimes takes out a thermal fuse, a control board, or the door lock motor. If your oven went dead right after a clean cycle, mention that when you call. It narrows the search considerably.
How soon can someone get to my Federal Way house?
Call us with your ZIP and what the appliance is doing, and we'll give you the next open window. We route Federal Way stops together with Auburn and Kent, so mornings tend to fill first. Same-day is sometimes possible if a slot opens up nearby.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call us or fill out the form and describe what you're hearing, seeing or smelling. Brand and rough age help. We ask a few questions up front so the likely parts ride along in the van.
- Step 2
We come look
A technician shows up in the window we set, pulls the unit out and tests it. Tight basement stairs and low bungalow ceilings are ordinary to us. You'll hear what's wrong before anything gets replaced.
- Step 3
You decide, we repair
We walk you through the fix and what it involves, then wait for your go-ahead. Most common parts are already on the truck. If something has to be ordered, we tell you the plan and follow up.

Why homeowners call us
- Damp-house know-howPortland laundry rooms grow mildew and basements stay wet. We know what moisture does to dryer vents, washer parts and control boards, so before we call a repair done we look at the room around the machine too.
- Unhurried visitsA rushed diagnostic misses things. We take the extra minutes to pull the panel, look behind the drum and test the drain line. Then we tell you plainly what failed and whether fixing it makes sense on that appliance.
- Every major brandWe're an independent shop, so the whole kitchen and laundry room is fair game: washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, ovens, dishwashers, freezers and disposals. A twenty-year-old unit gets the same careful look as a new digital one.
- Wide service reachHomeowners in five Western states reach us the same way. City bungalow, suburban split-level, a house down a gravel road. We set a visit and arrive with tools and common parts ready.
- All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Whirlpool, Samsung, GE, LG, Maytag, Bosch and more.
- Straight answersWhen a repair doesn't make sense, we tell you, sometimes before we even roll a truck.
