Safe things to check first
Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

- 2Clear the lint screen and hold it under running water; if water beads on top, scrub it with soap.
- 3Check whether one half of the outlet is dead by confirming the drum still spins with no heat, a classic tripped breaker leg.

Is a no-heat dryer worth repairing?
Usually, yes. No-heat faults are often a fuse, element, or thermostat, and those are contained parts. We check the vent first, since blockage is what kills fuses. Call us and we'll talk through the age and condition of your machine.
Why do my clothes take two cycles now?
Almost always airflow. Lint builds in the duct, the moist air can't leave, and the dryer keeps tumbling wet laundry. A long run through a crawlspace collects more. We measure airflow and clear or reroute what's choking it.
Do you work on gas dryers as well as electric?
We do both. Gas units add igniters, flame sensors, and valve coils to the list of suspects. Electric units lean on elements and high-limit thermostats. Tell us which you have when you call so we arrive stocked.
Can a squeal mean the dryer is about to quit?
Often it means a roller or idler pulley is wearing through. Left alone, the belt can shred and the drum stops. Squeals are cheap to chase early and messy to chase late, so mention it right away.
Should the vent get cleaned during a repair?
We check it every time, because almost every heat and drying complaint traces back there. If it's packed, clearing it protects the new part you just paid for and cuts down the fire risk in the wall.
