Questions California homeowners ask

How do I check that your company is legitimate before I let a tech in my house?

Please do check. Ask us for our business details over the phone, then look us up yourself with the California Secretary of State and the Bureau of Household Goods and Services. Search our name online. Any honest repair company expects this. We'd rather you feel settled before we knock.

When can someone come out?

Call us and we'll walk through the open windows on our schedule. We give you an arrival window instead of a vague promise, and we call or text if traffic shifts things. Weekday mornings tend to fill first, so ask early if that's what you need.

Which California cities do you serve?

Our city pages are listed on this page — start there. Coverage runs across major metro areas and many surrounding suburbs. If your town isn't linked yet, ring us anyway. We may still reach you, and if not we'll say so plainly rather than string you along.

What should I have ready when I call?

Three things help most. The brand and model number, usually on a sticker inside the door, behind a drawer, or along the frame. A plain description of the symptom, including any sounds or error codes. And your address, so we can check routing.

Do you work on all brands?

Yes. We're an independent repair company, so we service major residential brands rather than one manufacturer's line. Common parts ride with us. Less common ones we order, then set a return visit once they land.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Phone us or fill out the form. Describe the noise, the puddle, the burning smell. Brand and rough age help too. We ask a few questions so the right parts ride along in the van.

  2. Step 2

    We come look

A technician arrives in the window we set, pulls the unit out, and tests it. Tight basement stairs and low bungalow ceilings are normal to us. You hear what's wrong before anything is replaced.

  3. Step 3

    You decide, we repair

We explain the fix and what it involves, then wait for your go-ahead. Most common parts are on the truck. If one has to be ordered, we tell you the plan and follow up.

Questions worth asking any repair company

Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.

  • 1Ask for their license numberThen verify it with your state licensing board rather than taking it on trust.
  • 2Ask for proof of insuranceLiability cover protects you if something goes wrong in your home.
  • 3Get the quote in writingIncluding the trip fee, whether it's credited against the repair, and parts.
  • 4Ask how they handle callbacksIf the same fault returns, what happens? Get the answer before work begins.
  • 5Check their own reviewsLook the business up independently — their Google profile, not just what they tell you.

Why homeowners call us

  • Damp-house know-howPortland laundry rooms grow mildew. Basements stay wet. We know how moisture ruins dryer vents, rusts washer parts and shorts out control boards, so we check the surroundings, not just the machine, before calling a repair done.
  • Unhurried visitsRushed diagnostics miss things. We take the extra minutes to pull the panel, look behind the drum and test the drain line. Then we tell you plainly what failed and whether the repair makes sense for that appliance.
  • Every major brandWe are an independent shop, so we work on the whole laundry room and kitchen: washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, ovens, dishwashers, freezers and disposals. Older units and newer digital models both get the same careful look.
  • Wide service reachHomeowners across five Western states reach us the same way. City bungalow, suburban split-level or a house down a gravel road, we schedule a visit and show up with tools and common parts ready.
  • All major brands, gas & electricWhirlpool, Samsung, LG, GE, Maytag, Bosch, KitchenAid and more — as an independent repair company.
  • Straight answersIf it isn't worth repairing, we'll say so — often on the phone.
